the café idea
It was during our first visit to London that we became acquainted with a few coffee joints off the beaten path, that heed by certain coffee practices that we had previously only dreamed were possible in the context of a café. Finally, a few cafés doing it right, offering a simple menu of drinks that feature the espresso as the main attraction and yet substituting the pretense for pure enjoyment. These cafés are inspiring to us, not based solely on what they serve, but also on what they don’t serve.
